Starting in the mid-1800s, there was a steady drop in deaths from all infectious diseases, decreasing to relatively minor levels by the early 1900s. The history of that transformation involves famine, poverty, filth, lost cures, eugenicist doctrine, individual freedoms versus state might, protests and arrests over vaccine refusal, and much more. But the authors shows that vaccines, antibiotics, and other medical interventions are not responsible for the increase in lifespan and the decline in mortality from infectious diseases.

Did you know that 400 medical doctors commit suicide each year in the USA? That is about the size of two whole medical school classes. This autobiography tells the intricate and personal story one doctor's path through medical school and out into academia, specialty medicine, and practice, having to conform to the system's standards. Like many doctors, she was on the way to becoming one of the walking dead. Then, one day she realized that policy was harming her patients, and she took a stand. This resulted in hostility and ostracism by the authorities and her peers in the system. In 2011, depressed and deflated, life was difficult in all directions . . . until she found peace through an unexpected path and a new friend. The co-author of Dissolving Illusions: Disease, Vaccines, and the Forgotten History brings you her entertaining autobiography, which will surprise you and have you wondering if your own doctor could be inadvertently threatening your health.

Imagine what it would be like to go back in time to the 15th century Venice. And imagine what it would be like to meet your lifelong hero, Michelangelo. And imagine what it would be like if, on first meeting, you spill a tray of pasta and wine on that very same hero.Well, that's what happens to serious young artist Mark Breen. As the result of a drunken bet, Mark knocks out a painting of a toilet bowl. Much to his amazement, he sells it. In short order he's hailed as the new Andy Warhol and becomes an overnight sensation-and a very wealthy man. Soon, images of his toilet bowls are on more t-shirts, mugs, and calendars than Edvard Munch's The Scream. His friend and mentor, Hugh Connelly, afraid that Mark is in danger of losing his "artistic soul," advises him to go back to Italy and reacquaint himself with the "old masters." In Venice, Mark falls in love with Alexandra, a beautiful art restorer, but it's a one-sided affair. One night, hoping to win her over, he climbs up on a roof to find out who painted her favorite fresco. He falls off the roof and wakes up in 15th century Venice where he meets an innkeeper named Francesca, who looks exactly like Alexandra. And it gets curiouser and curiouser from there. During his stay-which is sometimes zany and sometimes frightening-he meet his hero, Michelangelo, who teaches him the true meaning of art.

Public health officials state that vaccines are safe and effective, but the truth is far more complicated. Vaccination is a serious medical intervention that always carries the potential to injure and cause death as well as to prevent disease. Coercive vaccination policies deprive people of free and informed consent—the hallmark of ethical medicine. Americans are increasingly concerned about vaccine safety and the right to make individual, informed choices together with their healthcare practitioners. Vaccine Epidemic focuses on the searing debate surrounding individual and parental vaccination choice in the United States. Habakus, Holland, and Rosenberg edit and introduce a diverse array of interrelated topics concerning the explosive vaccine controversy, including the ethics of vaccination mandates, corrupting conflicts of interest in the national vaccine program, and personal narratives of parents, children, and soldiers who have suffered vaccine injury. Newly updated with additional chapters focusing on institutional scientific misconduct, mandates for healthcare workers, concerns about HPV vaccine development, and the story behind the Supreme Court’s recent vaccine decision, Vaccine Epidemic remains the essential handbook for the vaccination choice movement and required reading for all people contemplating vaccination for themselves and their children.

Perhaps, too, the corridors of our own reality are flimsier than we believe! On the other side of the wall may lie another path. A fascinating account of the world's most famous disease-polio- told as you have never heard it before. Epidemics of paralysis began to rage in the early 1900s, seemingly out of nowhere. Doctors, parents, and health officials were at a loss to explain why this formerly unheard of disease began paralyzing so many children-usually starting in their legs, sometimes moving up through their abdomen and arms. For an unfortunate few, it could paralyze the muscles that allowed them to breathe. Why did this disease start to become such a horrible problem during the late 1800s? Why did it affect children more often than adults? Why was it originally called teething paralysis by mothers and their doctors? Why were animals so often paralyzed during the early epidemics when it was later discovered most animals could not become infected? The Moth in the Iron Lung is a fascinating biography of this horrible paralytic disease, where it came from, and why it disappeared in the 1950s. If you've never explored the polio story beyond the tales of crippled children and iron lungs, this book will be sure to surprise.

Many people sincerely believe that all vaccines are safe, adverse reactions are rare, and no peer-reviewed scientific studies exist showing that vaccines can cause harm. This book -- Miller's Review of Critical Vaccine Studies -- provides the other side of the story that is not commonly told. It contains summaries of 400 important scientific papers to help parents and researchers enhance their understanding of vaccinations. "This book should be required reading for every doctor, medical student and parent. Reading this book will allow you to make better choices when considering vaccination." --David Brownstein, MD "This book is so precise and exciting in addressing the vaccine controversy that I read it in one evening. I recommend this book to any parent who has questions about vaccines and wants to be factually educated to make informed decisions." --Gabriel Cousens, MD "Neil Miller's book is a tour de force and a clarion voice championing the cautionary principle: 'When in doubt, minimize risk.' Let's talk science. Read this book. The truth will keep you and your children protected." --Bradford S. Weeks, MD "Nowhere else can one find such an organized and concise compilation of research on vaccines. Not only does Miller have a deep understanding of science and the issues at hand, he has made this book easy to reference and cite. Truly, there is no other guide out there quite like it. For everyone who contacts me in the future seeking scientific evidence about vaccines, I will recommend Miller's Review of Critical Vaccine Studies." --Toni Bark, MD, MHEM, LEED AP, previous Director of the pediatric ER at Michael Reese Hospital "Miller's Review of Critical Vaccine Studies is the most comprehensive and coherent accumulation of peer-reviewed research on vaccine issues and natural immunity I have ever come across. It is presented in a humorous and somewhat sagacious way, which gets "in your face" and makes you think. This work touches on many of the world religions, just enough to help you understand how they, along with parental and peer pressures have led you to think and act the way you do. It also looks at the possibility of soul choices and karma and even alien influences as a reason for you actions. Above all it gives you tools you can use to rethink your deepest beliefs thereby recreate your reality, regardless of where it came from.

REVIEWS:

This book, entitled "How to Fly like an Eagle," is a motivational book written by the author in French, Spanish, and English to help people learn the techniques and to get the skills to help them to fly to the top like that bird of prey which is the eagle. In this book, the readers will learn how to overcome obstacles and to cultivate the fruit of persistence which is an essential factor in the process of transformation of desire into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the power of will. When this power and desire combine correctly, they form an irresistible combination, the perfect one to help you overcome your failures. There are four simple steps which lead to the habit of persistence. This does not require a large amount of intelligence or a special education, but time and minimal effort. The four steps are as follows: 1- A target set backed by a burning desire to achieve it. 2- A definite plan, expressed in continuous action. 3- A closed mind to any negative influence (including negative suggestions of relatives, friends and others). 4- A harmonious agreement with one or more persons, able to lead someone to go forward with the plan and with the goal. These four steps are essential for success in all areas of life. These are the steps with which you can control your economic destiny. These are the steps that lead to freedom and independence of thought, that convert dreams into reality. These are the steps that lead to the domination of fear, discouragement and indifference. I do not know the situation you are facing currently, maybe you are in a wheelchair, or in a hospital bed and without any hope of survival, maybe you're on the verge of divorce, or you are unable to complete your schooling or university, or find a job. You can now be crawling like a snake or you have broken wings preventing you from being able to fly like an eagle, but one thing is certain, regardless of your economic, family, health situation you can have a better life, develop your potential and fly as high as the eagle above any obstacles or constraints you are facing right now. Of course, this will be possible if you apply the principles to be taught in this book. I testify to you with all my heart that this book has the power to transform the lives of people from nothing to excellence, from the dust of the ground to the top of success. I promise you if you read it, and put the principles into practice, your life will be completely blessed!

Includes the booklet Narcissism "The Killer of Love" What could drive an individual who is emotionally strong and highly successful, with a hearty appetite for life, to suddenly lose all desire to live? What could possibly strip a religious person of all belief in God with the blink of an eye? Those vital questions are about to be answered. A Beautifully Disturbing Saga of Love and Survival. Within the throes of a madly passionate romance is the most ghastly soul rape and mind crime conceivable. The Great American "Psychopathic" Love Story exists in a world where nothing is real as perceived. Beneath the surface of what seems to be a fairy tale romance is the outline for what may very well be the perfect murder, and if you are naive enough to think it can't happen to you, you're wrong... dead wrong. Steven lives a life that most can only dream of. At a young age, he achieved fame in the music industry with the now iconic heavy metal band Slayer, and later as a world-renowned airbrush artist. He has everything that a man could want, except for what he desires most, which is, true love. A handsome, successful, charming man that lives and breathes romance, but has been unable to find the one woman that can captivate his heart. One glorious afternoon, Ashley stumbles into his life, and she is everything that he's hoped for and dreamed of. Their story begins as a passionate, tender, and erotic tale of two people falling in love. Together they seem to have the love that dreams are made of and fairy tales are written about. But do they really? Sometimes when it seems too good to be true, the love of your life may not be the person you think they are. On the surface, Steven and Ashley are the quintessential portrait of an enchanted romance, but underneath an illusion of ideal love is a transparent layer of lies, manipulation, and deceit. Unknowingly, Steven has become trapped in the lethal world of a pathological psychopath. Be prepared to have every one of your emotions assaulted by this unique true story. You will laugh, feel the passion and intense love, you'll get angry, experience excruciating pain, and yes, there will be tears. Live the story as the author experienced it. A memoir that is insanity in the raw, and just when you think it is all over, it begins again before leading to a shocking ending that will not soon be forgotten. Ghost of a Rose is the first romance of it's kind. Without any knowledge of its exsistence, the author documented from the beginning to end of his relationship with a pathological narcissist. The media has incorrectly portrayed Narcissistic Personality Disorder long enough. This is the true nature of the beast, and as melodramatic it may seem at times, this is what a victim experiences when having the life sucked out of him or her by an emotional vampire. You'll witness first hand the idealization "honeymoon" stage, the gaslighting phase, the abandonment, the torment, confusion, awakening, and healing as it all took place. Through the eyes of the author, you'll bear witness to a man systematically destroyed by a narcissist until his life is left in ruin. 'Dynamic personal stylized writing. Brilliant! A death to birth with a delivery that is painful as bloody hell." - Becky Joyce Reed "This book saved my life!" - Debbie Perez

Kingsville is located in Essex County in southwestern Ontario, west of the Leamington, south of Lakeshore, southeast of Essex. It is primarily an agricultural community nestled along the north shore of Lake Erie. The terrain is generally flat, and consists of a mixture of various rocks, sand and clay. The town is about 570 feet above sea level. Kingsville is home to the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary. Jack Miner was awarded The Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his achievements in conservation in the British Empire. Jack Miner is considered "the father of the conservation movement on the continent." The Town of Kingsville is rich in history and Victorian era architecture. Leamington is a located in Essex County, Ontario. It includes Point Pelee, the southernmost point of mainland Canada. Leamington became the home of the H. J. Heinz factory in 1908. The Heinz products were shipped from Leamington mostly to the United States. Ketchup and baby food were the main products. Leamington is known as the "Tomato Capital of Canada." The Heinz Company closed its plant in Leamington in 2014. Leamington was incorporated as a village in 1876. The community was named after Royal Leamington Spa in England. It was a crossroads hamlet with about 300 residents and was first known for its lumber products. There were several docks, and fish were plentiful in Lake Erie and sturgeon could be speared from the shore; fish was the cheapest food available. Leamington once had many tobacco farms but now they are gone. Blytheswood is a small community located in Essex County, in southwestern Ontario. The village is at the intersection of Highway 77 and Concession 8. Blytheswood's more recognized businesses are the Jones Popcorn family farm and Setterington's farm supply depot. Blytheswood and the surrounding area of Leamington are experiencing a boom in greenhouse development for agricultural products. King's Highway 77, commonly referred to as Highway 77, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. One of three highways within Essex County, Highway 77 serves to interconnect Highway 3 near Leamington with Highway 401 near Tilbury. Due to the flat topography of Essex County, the land use surrounding Highway 77 is almost entirely agricultural. Soil conditions in Essex are ideal for farming. Many streams have been diverted to irrigate the farmland to either side of the highway. Highway 77 begins at the Leamington Bypass, north of the city of the same name. The western section of Highway 3 shares its eastern terminus with Highway 77; from there it travels west towards Windsor. Several greenhouses are visible near the southern end of the highway, a small percentage of the 610 hectares (1,500 acres) of land occupied by them in the Leamington area. The highway runs seven miles north through Mount Carmel and Blytheswood to the village of Staples, passes through Comber. Highway 401 provides access to Windsor and the United States to the west, and to the town of Tilbury and city of Chatham-Kent to the east. To the north, the road continues as Essex County Road 35 to Stoney Point on the shores of Lake Huron. Tilbury is located in the municipality of Chatham-Kent and is 26.5 kilometres southwest of Chatham and 57 kilometres east of Windsor on Highway 401. The nearby townships of Tilbury West in Essex County and Tilbury East in Kent County were named for the port of Tilbury in the English county of Essex. A settlement, called Henderson after the local postmaster, was established with the construction of the Canada Southern Railway in 1875. The name of the post office was changed to Tilbury Centre and later to Tilbury. Tilbury is famous for its murals which depict part of its history.
